1. Introduction to ISO28000
The Supply Chain Security Management System (ISO28000) standard was developed in response to the needs of the transportation and logistics industry for the standardization of supply chain security management, with the ultimate goal of improving the overall security of the supply chain. For the first time, the standard provides a framework for organizations that operate or rely on a link in the supply chain.
Supply chain safety management system standards can help industry-related departments review security risks and implement control and risk mitigation measures to address potential security threats and impacts in the supply chain. The standard is based on the Planning-Implementation-Inspection-Improvement (PDCA) operating model, which is managed in the same way as other services such as quality, security, and customer satisfaction. This standard applies to organizations of all sizes, from small to multinational, regardless of whether they are at any stage of manufacturing, service, storage or transportation of the product or supply chain.
1. Establish a framework for a supply chain security management system;
2. Safeguard the supply chain security of the enterprise;
3. Risk-based assessment to enhance organizational compliance;
4. Improve business competitiveness and credibility, and improve customer satisfaction.
