1. What is LiFung?
Li & Fung has a history of more than 100 years and is headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, producing jeans from a variety of brands including Lee, Wrangler, Britannia and Rustler.
The company sells about $2 billion in jeans every year -- sales exceed any other peers. Li & Fung also manufactures Timber Creek khakis, Vanity Fair and Vassarette lingerie, Healthtex children's clothing, Jantzen bathrobes, JanSport backpacks and Red Kap clothing (from mechanics' overalls to firefighters) Bulk and heavy, everything is available.) In addition to being sold in large stores like Macy's, Li & Fung's products are also sold in popular retail stores like Wal-Mart and Target.
According to Li & Fung's supplier manual, since 2005, Lifeng has stopped making second party reviews for all WRAP-certified factories. This is undoubtedly good news for Li & Fung's suppliers. Because of WRAP certification, the number of inspections can be greatly reduced. There may be more department stores or brand dealers who will accept WRAP certification later, which is once and for all.
